Temascalcingo: Pueblo con Encanto

Temascalcingo is a small town set among the mountains of the central Mexican highlands. With a population of about 13,000, Temascalcingo is a “pueblo con encanto”, or town with charm, with original colonial architecture, brightly colored houses, and a vibrant town square.
About three hours from Mexico City and an hour and a half from Queretaro, Temascalcingo is untouched by the violence and unrest that has hurt many other areas of Mexico. In addition, there is no foreign population, so it offers an authentic opportunity to become part of a friendly and welcoming community.
